The first thing I did while making the concepts was making buildings/architecture into products. But because thats the most straight forward thing to do, I wanted to step of of it and take something that's not a building.

So the first thing that came to mind was construction, because Rotterdam is always somewhere in construction

This is the eventual final concept. A industrial looking candle holder in which a candle can be put. Taking the traditional construction patterns in the support pillars of construction.
